In this introduction to kayaking class, MNPS DisAbilities group will introduce participants to the sport of kayaking in a fun and safe environment. They will discuss the importance of wearing a PFD (life jacket) & teach them how to properly put it on. They will show them how to get in and out of the boats, give them an introductory paddle lesson, and then give them an opportunity to paddle around in the swimming pool. No prior experience paddling is required.
This program will be held in the deep end of the big pool, participants will NOT be able to touch the bottom of the pool.
