TABS Chat - Communication between Families and Providers

Tennessee Adult Brothers and Sisters (TABS) is a support and networking group for adult siblings of individuals with disabilities. Many people with disabilities receive support services from disability provider agencies and others besides their family members. What happens when problems or disagreements happen? How can families of people with disabilities balance effective advocacy for our loved ones and respectful relationships with the people who support them?Join this free, informal virtual chat hosted by TABS to discuss ways to resolve problems or conflict with your sibling’s providers and staff. Presenter Carrie Guiden, Amerigroup Employment and Community First CHOICES director, has decades of experience in the disability field in various roles. Carrie will share stories, provide tips, and lead an open discussion about solving problems with your sibling’s services and building positive relationships with your sibling’s supporters. Register here for this TABS chat, scheduled from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm.
