EmpowerCon: Emergency Preparedness


EmpowerCon is a monthly series of events where people with disabilities, their families, and other supporters can learn and share everyday skills and resources to live more independent lives. Sponsored by Empower Tennessee, this month's session focuses on Emergency Preparedness to help with planned ahead for unexpected events -- an important part of independent living. Experts from Metro Nashville's Office of Emergency Management, NashSevereWx and the American Red Cross will lead discussions about how government agencies prepare for disasters, how we can be more weather aware and how each of us can be better prepared for an emergency.
