Next Chapter Book Club

Our Place Nashville hosts a unique community-based book club program for adolescents and adults with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our members love books for the same reasons most people do. They enjoy being transported to different worlds where they meet interesting characters and learn about exciting new things. Taking that journey with a group of friends makes it even more delightful and fun. The group is currently reading a classic Western, Zane Grey's Lone Star Ranger. We are continuing to meet virtually, from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm, on Wednesdays, but hope to resume meeting in person soon. Next up will be stories from some of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. Any young adult from the community with a developmental disability is welcome to join us, whether they're a non-reader or a terrific reader. We have room for two more people to join the book club. All that is required is a love for books. If you're interested, please contact Carolyn Naifeh.
