Christmas. Hanukkah. New Year’s. The holidays are a wonderful time to spend with family and friends, a time to celebrate cultural and religious traditions, a time to exchange gifts, a chance to ring in the New Year. But some people don’t have a lot of friends or family. Or they don’t have a lot of money to buy gifts. The season’s joy, for some of us, can be difficult. Carol Rabideau, L.C.S.W., is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 22 years of experience. She works at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, but she’s going to spend the evening with us to give us a chance to talk about our concerns and hopes for the holidays, and how we might handle the disruption to our routines, the difficult memories that the holidays can push to the front burner, or any other seasonal topics you’d like to discuss.
