Join us for an introduction to sailing designed for individuals with intellectual & developmental disABILITIES and their caregivers. This fun and exciting class will give participants the opportunity to learn about Sailing, Sailboats, Water Safety and more. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the boats and take a ride on Percy Priest Lake with an instructor from Sail Nashville. No prior experience sailing needed for this class. Sail Nashville is the only American Sailing Association-affiliated sailing school in Tennessee.
Sail Nashville owner John Summers has over 35 years' sailing experience in the Caribbean, on both the east and west coasts, but mostly on Percy Priest Lake here in Nashville. Participants can choose from any one of three classes on July 7, 14 or 21 at a cost of $5/class. Each meets at the Hamilton Creek Sailboat Marina, at 2901 Bell Road, from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon.
